How It Works
Everything you need to know about using our talent calculator and understanding WoW Classic's talent system
You earn your first talent point at level 10, then one point per level until 60, giving you 51 points total to spend.
Each class has three talent trees representing different specializations and playstyles.
You must spend 5 points in a tier before unlocking the next tier. Some talents have prerequisites.
Key Mechanics
- Talent Points: Earned one per level from 10-60, cannot be saved or banked
- Tier System: 7 tiers per tree, requiring 5 points in previous tier to advance
- Prerequisites: Some talents require specific talents as prerequisites
- Rank System: Many talents have multiple ranks (1/5, 2/5, etc.)
- Respec Cost: Starts at 1g, increases each time, capping at 50g
